    thread - UTC 140 cream
    bead - 8mm red
    string - 30lb Spectra braid
    body - cross-cut rabbit
    cone - black nickel

    Purple/pink (front hook clipped)

    Did you use glue on the rabbit strips or not? Have fun casting those things once they are wet...

    John,

    Tear Mender on the back half, where the strip is wrapped on the braid; Super Glue on the front half where it's wrapped on the hook shank. Here's a nice video on construction

    Is the Tear Mender flexible enough so as not to compromise mobility?

    Flexible and, supposedly, waterproof; I plan on losing them to hordes of hungry salmon and leopard rainbows before I find out if it truly is waterproof (lol).

    To each his own. You plan to lose yours to trout and salmon. I would lose mine to trees and rocks... <sigh>

    Just the helmet? I'd also bring the bat for protection from whatever the heck you haul in that is gonna take a bite of that.
