If anyone is in the market for a nice little 3 weight rod Cabela's has their 7-1/2 foot 3 weight and Prestige reel pair on sale for half price ($70). That a pretty nice set-up for that price.

I am not in the market for another three weight, but for that price, I may have to get one to use as a loaner when I take guests out to fish. It would make a fantastic outfit for bream and small bass. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thats is the reason I already own the 9' 6wt and the 8' 4wt. They are quite possibly thee best rod for the money out there....bar none.
That 3-weight (with a 4-weight line) is my go-to creek rod. Hope they never stop making it. May try the 4-weight, if NJTB likes his so much.

I have the 9' 8wt. and when I got it it was on sale plus you got a free Pflueger Medalist fly reel. I got a 1494 for another rod and put my 1495 on this one with an wf8f for throwing bigger bass stuff. I have a Para17 bamboo but it just doesn't do the job with watersoaked big flies. One of the few situations where I pick plastic over wood.
