Rendezvous Prairie du Chien

Blackfoot from the Lewis and Clark Expedition lounging on his bearskin rug in his tepee. He made all of clothing. He trapper all his animals and skinned and tanned them. His dog Bear was along with him on the Lewis and Clark wandering. Newfoundlands were the actual type of dogs taken with the trappers and guides when they led the Lewis and Clark folks.

Bob Zuideman from Morrisonville, Illinois was preparing his tepee. This was Bob's 16th trip to Prairie du Chien for the Rendezvous. It is the 40th anniversary of the event in Prairie.

Bob's buck skins were 1840 era Mountain Man.
