I have not knowledge of how good or bad they are; I suspect Columbia is dumping them because of the felt sole issues and spreading disease. I have purchased from Tanga with no issues.

Thank you for posting this. Looks like a great deal. I have bought a pair, and so have several of my friends.

I bought 2-pair. I think I once had a pair of those and they are sturdy.
Do not buy these boots if you want felt soles. The boots that were sent to me and my 3 friends have rubber soles, despite the product description on Tanga's web site that states unequivocally (twice) that these boots have felt soles. I have contacted Tanga and they have not explained their erroneous/misleading advertising. I will exercise great caution in any future dealings with this company.

I just ordered a pair as a back up. We will see.

I bought 2 pairs and they have rubber soles. I'm going to screw cletes into them. For $25 they're at least good back ups.
My two friends and I brought our new Columbia boots on a trip this month. The soles on each of the 3 pairs of boots delaminated on first use. These boots are garbage.
I got a pair and they are rubber soled as well.
Try these:

I have had Columbia, Danner, Korkers ( don't care for the removable soles ) and Simms. Liked the Sims, got 7 years out of them. Got the Orvis pair for Xmas. Best of the bunch (so far) in my opinion.
Really like the wire lace system. Recommend their screw in studs also. Kind of spendy, but I don't fare well with cheap boots.
