The CDC Hendrickson is my favorite version of the Hendrickson patterns that I tie due to the fact that it fishes well over the majority of the hatch. Great footprint and floats well. This is the first, and quite often last pattern that I reach for.

Hook: Standard Dry #12
Thread: Rusty Brown 8/0 Uni-thread
Tail: Medium Pardo CDL
Abdomen: Olive Brown/Sulfur Spectrablend (hand blended)
Hackle: #14 Greenwell
Wing: 2 Dun CDC

Greenwell is a lighter version of Furnace. More of a dark Ginger than a Brown.

Greenwell is part of the Badger Family really as far as coloration goes: Right-to-left

Silver Badger, Golden Badger, Greenwell, Furnace, Speckled Silver, Speckled Golden

All identified by the black or green/black center.
