Need help with Thule Kayak rack locks!!!

I'm having an "OLD TIMERS" moment! I am trying to place and LOCK the Thule kayak rack on the top of my pickup shell. The locks were replaced a couple years ago when I changed vehicles so I am assuming they are okay. I have both of the racks seated now securely but can not lock them down. I'm heading 1800 miles west next week and want them locked for safety reasons. Do I need to push in when I turn the key? (My dealer is no longer in business so they wouldn't be a help). I know I'm not doing something simple!

Try the Thule site to see if they have any help.

They just show how to install the locks, mine are installed and worked but now they are not catching.

I can call them Monday at 8:30. There is just some stupid thingI am not doing correctly Driving me up the wall!

Google Quest Outdoors in Louisville and call one or both locations tonight or tomorrow. Helpful folks. Let 'em know you're in state but didn't buy from them. Can't imagine they wouldn't still volunteer to help if they could tell what you were talking about.
