The March Brown LTD is the largest pattern I tie in the LTD family. It is my first pick when I see them on the water, and one of my favorite search patterns throughout the spring whether the hatch is present or not.

    Hi guys.
I'm still working on my terminology.
If you don't mind, what is the meaning of "LTD" (and "PMD")?

    Thank You

    rpb,

PMD stands for Pale Morning Dun, a mayfly. I think LTD is Ralph's - Long's Transitional Dun.

It is a "Transitional Dun"......meaning it is a mayfly which has not yet fully emerged from a nymph to a sub-imago stage dun.
