How do you bleach elk hair?

I find that the best way, meaning the results are the best, is by using ladies hair bleaching powder with the 30% developer. Make a cream of the 2 ingredients and work into the hair. watch and rinse when it looks slightly darker then you want it.
This product is less likely to burn the hair.

fisher999 - yes, regular drug store peroxide will work all by itself. It takes days, even weeks. The upside is, you almost can't overdo it and burn the hair.

I find it is a lot easier, just to call up the local beauty parlor (Curl Up & Dye), and make an appointment, then just drop off my elk, and let them do their magic.

Hi all'
I was wondering if this was ever going to work because i have had it in the proxide for over a week now and have seen no change in color. Is there any ways to speed this up with out adding other ingredents. or with out adding amionia. (that stuf stinks)
