    Default scissors

My Dr Slick 3 1/2 are wore out. Looking for another pair. What do you think are the best scissors out there.

    Define worn out...

I've a pair of Dr.Slick razor scissors that sharpen nicely with a diamond stone. They come with adjustable tension.

If you got good service from them, why not another pair?

I have a pair of arrows. They are dull sent to Dr Slick to be sharpened and they still aren't as sharp as I feel they should be. Thinking maybe tungsten adjustable? Now I am wondering if I can get these sharpened localy.

I tie with my scissors in my right hand all the time and have found that the Dr. Slick 3.5" bent handle in black are as good as it gets. All I cut with these are light hair, feathers, thread and mylar. No heavy hair trimming ala bass bugs, and no metal tinsel or foam. My hands are medium/small and these are very, very comfortable to tie with. Cheers, Alec

I agree. Dr Slick is what I use. And they endure the rigours of commercial tying well.

I wear mine constantly on my left hand ..... at times even arriving at the dinner table wearing them. They're part of me.

My next set will be Dr Slick as well.

    Bill,

    Options are endless.

LOTS of good scissors out there.

However, if it were me, I'd replace a pair I was familiar with with the same or a very similar pair. If it ain't broke....

    Good Luck!

I'd go with a second pair of Dr. Slick. Why change a good thing? 8T

I'm going to echo what most of the others have already said, Dr. Slick are my favorites. I've got a pair of their hair scissors that I use for cutting hair, wire and other harder materials and a paid of 3.5 arrow points that I use for just about everything else. I've been using the same pairs for a bit over three years now and have no problems and they haven't dulled at all as far as I can see.

I like the Uni scissors. The only down side is the finger holes are a bit small, but they are my favorite.
