    Default Sage 4640 reel question

    Guys,

I don't have access to any Sage Dealers here in MS. I just finished the build of my Sage One 390-4, and I now need a reel to put on it. My problem is the downlocking reel seat will not fit most of my 4wt reels. What is the length of the reel foot on a Sage 4640? I need less then 2.5 inches.

    Thank for the help.

Don't have the 4640, but my 3250 and 3280 are both right at 2 1/2 inches.

If it's yours and keeping it and using are more important than future sales, a file will make any reel foot fit. Very few old reels that were actually used didn't end up with file marks to fit some rod. I know, I fish with a couple of them.

Shoot an email off to Sage, they are usually really good at getting back to you.
