thorax - Ice Dub peacock black
bead - glass coppery brown

That's why you apply a thin coat of adhesive (Knotsense seems to work the best) to the tinsel body and wrap the pheasant while it's still wet. When it cures, the herl is pretty much embedded.

Scott, I might still be inclined to counter-wrap over the rib with copper wire, but that's just me. It is a good-looking fly. I might have to try some. Tied in sizes 10 and 12 it might work for 'gills and their kin. Smaller sizes would probably work but might be difficult to extract once swallowed.
