What would be a good selection of flies for bluegill other than a Wooly bugger?

Terry & Roxanne Wilson wrote a book titled "Bluegill..... Fly Fishing & Flies". They have a dozen or so patterns in the book that are time tested and work. My favorite is the Bully's Bluegill Spider which I have tied from #2 down to #18 and are a staple in my warm water boxes. The book is well worth the price. Mine is well worn. We are about 2-1/2 hours apart but if you ever make it to Kentucky Lake drop me a PM and I will show you the local BG haunts I have found, as well as the patterns in the book, all of which I use.

Rubber legged foam spider, of course; a simple nymph like a hares ear or fox squirrel nymph, a leach of some kind if you don't want wooly buggers, a leadwing coachman and some soft hackles.
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.

Wetsocks, Welcome to FAOL from SoCal. I think you will like it around here. Jim
I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim

Here is a link to a youtube video for tying the BBS. There are a couple, but this one I think is the clearest.

Wetsocks, are you new to fly fishing? If so, shoot me a message.... I've got some flies somebody gave me when I started and they're just collecting dust. Would love to give them to someone who could use and appreciate them! As I'd throw a few personal favorites in!
