Default My latest book - FREE starting January 8

I've kept this one under my hat, but I recently published my second fly fishing book, River Characters: Deep Thoughts and Shallow Stories about Fly Fishing. This one's a collection of essays and stories, some deep and some shallow. While a majority are set in Yellowstone country, there's also one tale set in coastal Washington and several others set in the Ozarks.

The e-book version will be free on Amazon from January 8 through 11. If you get the book and enjoy it, I would REALLY appreciate it if you could leave a review. By all means let others know about the freebie special, assuming you like it. The whole point of the promotion is to generate word of mouth.

Here's the Amazon link. You can read a few sample pages before downloading.

If you really enjoy it, I have 18 copies of the paperback with the pre-production cover for sale for $9.95. The only difference between these and those with the production cover is in price. The production versions list for $10.95 versus $9.95.

    Walter,
Might "Phil" in your book be Phil Schmma?

    Byron...

Well... very heavily modified. For that story he's sorta combined with a couple other shop guys who have come and gone over the years. That's why they call it "creative" nonfiction.

That story originally appeared at www.rockymtnfly.com (RIP).

    Walter,

I'm only a little way into the book, but it is really good so far. Your writing style is excellent and very engaging. If I had any criticism of the book it would be the order the chapters are in. Some seem to flow together and others seem disconnected from what preceded it and what comes after. That being said it is merely a stylistic choice and doesn't detract from the overall narrative.
