Paying Tribute to Denny. Idea?

Rick and Charlaine, I just finished 13 Patriot flies and will get them in the mail to Rick's address. 12 of the flies are size 12 and fishable. #13 is a size 10 for the shadow box. All tied with feathers from capes I got from ConRanch over the years. Hope this will work. Denny was a true patriot, fellow soldier, sniper and a true friend. This is the least I can do in his remembrance. By the way, we are getting into attractor season on the AuSable and the Patriot is a popular fly up here this time of year. Rick you stole my thunder!!! Kidding thought I have been working on something along the same idea though I was thinking project healing waters. I love it and I know Liz will as well. I'll do what I can to tie 12 flies and get them off to you. Ok i just had a thought. How about 13 flies and we take the extra flies and mount them into a shadow box for his daughter. with each set given a number to correspond to the tier on the list and frame it to be mounted next to the box. I'm also for just using his feathers if you can.

Charlaine or Rick, Any follow up on the fly presentation and honors for Denny? I have not seen anything posted.

We are still planning on this we had to push the tribute back due to weather and lack of water at the location

Hi Rick I have been off faol for about 5 years and due to poor eyesight can no longer tie flies . However in Dennys name I will donate the about $500 worth of fly tying equipment including about a dozen Conranch pelts to our local Flyfishing club . They teach flytying classes to young people around here.
I know Denny would like that.

I do like the Idea of sending his daughter a shadow box , she was as involved with his flock as Denny was.

Shadow box flies on the way to a nice lady, Charlaine, who is going t do the box.
The rest are flying to a Project healing waters group.
We should get a letter from them to send to Denny's family.
