I say lifeproof. I've used mine to take pictures underwater with my iPhone and it works great.

I have a life proof for my I phone... I highly recommend it. I've never dropped it in the creek but I have dropped it in the toilet! I also take it in the shower with me daily to listen to music and what not. I don't think you can go wrong with a life proof. I'm not sure what depth they are rated water proof to, you'd have to do some research on that

Lifeproof does what it says it will do.

Only problems I had with mine:
    1) voice was muffled. My hearing isn't too good to start with (too many years as a musician and target shooter).
    2) people said I sounded like I was talking from inside a can.

There is a piece of GorTex (or some similar material) that covers the microphones and speakers.

I ended up giving it to a friend and going back to the Otter Box case. The Otter Box is not a waterproof case and I have dry box that floats when I am on my boat.

I carry my phone in a holster on my belt, no waterproofing at all. But then, I don't wear it when I am on the water. It is turned off and in a sealed quart freezer bag inside my gear bag, just in case I do need a phone. Now then, my camera is a different story. I have a Pentax GPS WG-II waterproof/shockproof camera. That is always with me on the river, ready for instant photo taking.

I've had my S5 in a LifeProof since it came out of the box in the store.

I agree with Jeff's comments above- it does cut down a bit on volume, and I have to have it in just the right spot on my ear. Also I've had a couple comments saying that my voice sounds a bit muffled, but not sure I can blame that totally on the case. IMO if you put your phone in situations where it might get abused, it's the best case out there right now.
To the simpleton, proof does not matter once emotion takes hold of an issue.
