Byron,
Probably not what you're looking for, but "Fly Patterns" by Taff Price has a Willow Fly that's a dun colored caddis dry. Body is a palmered dun hackle, wing is a dun feather tied wonder wing style, another dun hackle wrapped in front of the wing. Methinks you might be looking for a mayfly dun?
I'm under the impression that willow flies generally refer to stone flies. However, I think willow fly refers to to mayflies in some areas of the south.
Try googling Willow Fly Emerger.
Guys,
I am looking for a pattern called the Willow Special.......
Im guessing it might be a down-wing pattern, but not sure.

Byron, Check into Charles Meck’s “The Hatches Made Simple.” According to the PAflyfishing it's probably in the book, which is available on Amazon for $4.10.
Want to hear God laugh? Tell him Your plans!!!
Jesse,
That is where the pattern is referenced and is why I am asking. The book is a wonderful book and suggests the pattern's use, but does not show a picture of the fly....that I can find.
Recent post about Meck's book:
