    Default Bamboo rod kit

Anyone have experience with Hook & hackle's Bamboo kit?

    Yeah. http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/s...me-with-bamboo

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about bamboo to judge the quality. It works for me and my budget!

its a decent rod blank. They could have done a better job with the blank but it casts well. I'm a wee bit picky though so dont take my word for it

I have built one of the blanks...not the kit. Ron sent me one to evaluate when he first stared carrying them. The only thing that I did not like was the ferrules were mounted on the blank befor the ferrule tabs were thinned. I thinned them with a jeweler's file while still on the blank. After that, it all went well and the rod did not fish to bad. That issue might have been fixed a long time ago. If you have any questions, just pick up the phone and give Terry at Hook and Hackle a call, or shoot him an e mail. They are more than helpful.

Yes. The components are alright. The guide feet needed to be filed. Other than that, no problems...
