I found the link to this 2 hour Sanpei movie on the Tenkaraenso blog.

This is not one of the animated Sanpei videos. It is a 2009 movie made with human actors and directed by Oscar winning director Yōjirō Takita. It was posted on Youtube on Sept 4th, 2014. The language is Japanese, but it has English subtitles.

Tenkara is not specifically mentioned in this film. Only Gramps makes a reference to Japanese style fly fishing, just before fishing with a two-handed bamboo pole.
You'll learn a bit about Ayu fishing in the beginning. Then later there is a two day hike into a headwaters area, to find the legendary Yonapi Valley, a Char paradise where a monster 1.5 m Char is said to be found. Where they also enjoy some Char sushi and a bit of fish bone saki.

You might find it a fun movie to watch on a cold day.

You can find the animated Sanpei videos, generally about 25 minutes in length, by doing a google search for either of the following terms - Tsurikichi Sanpei videos , 釣りキチ三平動画 ( tsurikichisanpei dōga) .
The ones I found a couple of years ago were overdubbed in Italian. But they were fun to watch anyway.
