thread - Danville 6/0 black
rib - x-small wire gold
abdomen - peacock herl
body hackle - brown (undersize by 2)
wing - deer hair
hackle - brown
wing (front) - deer hair


Part 1

Mash down barb, start thread at 60% mark; tie in rib and wrap back to bend




tie in peacock herl, wrap forward to 60%; tie off and trim






tie in hackle, wrap back to bend






trap tip with wire, then spiral through hackle; tie off, helicopter end, smooth with thread and trim hackle tip






clean, stack, measure (tips to bend) a clump of deer hair
