Default Anyone know R. E. Long?

I was glancing through the book "Tomorrow's Fish" by R.E. Long. Apparently he invented the Transitional Dun and the LTD....the Long Transitional Dun......

    Just kidding Ralph!

But I am looking through your book. When did you invent this pattern?

Byron, Tomorrows Fish is a compilation of my essays as well as a number of personal patterns from my box. I wouldn't label them as inventions, as very few patterns are "inventions". They are patterns or variations of patterns that I tie, that work for me personally.

The LTD, was first tied in 1998-1999 in the original Sulfur version, in an attempt to match a particular stage of the emergence on the West branch of Pine Creek in Central PA.

    Gotcha Ralph. Nice work.

I'm wondering if my deer hair version might work. Haven't fished it yet, but plan on doing so next summer.
