    Default My new Ride...Literally

My new ride. Literally. A new 2013 model Ride 115 that I picked up today. I really wanted the new Ride 115X Max but this one ended up being less than half the cost of that boat, new, and locally available. It was significantly less money and I just could not pass it up. Gonna be a great boat. Seat is really comfortable. Looking forward to getting it in the water.

A few years ago I had a Native Ultimate 12 and although it was a great boat for paddling, I did not like fishing from it. I sat too low in the boat and the sides were too high. Just wasn't a good fishing platform for me. From what I can tell from sitting in this boat, its going to work out much better for casting a fly rod. Ready to fish!

I have a Ride 135 and have fished the hell out of it for the last two years and it is a superb fishing kayak. Many folks love the 115 as it is just a bit lighter, and quicker handling in streams than the 135. I stand and fly fish all the time in mine, you have to really WORK to go far enough over to fall. I'm sure you'll be very happy. I've fished mine in water varying from the Yellow Breeches (yes, it is a very popular kayaking stream) to miles offshore in Lake Erie. I have total confidence in my boat.
To the simpleton, proof does not matter once emotion takes hold of an issue.

All good to know as I may get my first chance to get it out this weekend! Looking forward to it!

Should be great until alligator season, then you're going to need a bigger boat. It should be great for the state park and game & fish commission lakes around the state.
