    Default Turkey Feathers

Think of it this way. If the turkey had been named the national bird like Ben wanted, we would not have turkey feathers to use for tying.

    Eat hardy, enjoy the day.

But then we would have had bald eagle soup for Thanksgiving.

    I must be off....

Instead of a bird they should have selected the bison as the national animal. It's pretty obvious that lots of the folks in Washington love the bull.

I am not sure how Bald Eagle feathers would be for wing cases. I think they made the right decision. I also don't think roast eagle would be nearly as palatable. It probably tastes a lot like Whooping Crane........
