Does anyone have any experience with this series of rods? Many retailers have them on a fairly good discount. The last time I was in my local shop they did not have any more of this series for me to cast. I'm particularly interested in the 691-4. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Have only cast them. Nice rods sort of medium/fast-fast. They must have been discontinued this year. If you can get one at a decent price, I suspect you will be pleased if you need a faster rod for nymph and streamer fishing.

I have two, 5100-4 and 890-4. Love 'em both. Very crisp with power. I am considering upgrading some other rods in configurations I don't have in vxp or xp to this series as I find them.
