    Something about redheads.....

    hook - Dai Riki 320 #14
thread - MFC 8/0 Fluoro Fire Orange
    tail - golden pheasant tippets
    abdomen/head - tying thread
    thorax - muskrat
    wing - Congo Hair white
    hackle - grizzly/brown

    Part 1

Mash down barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap back to point above barb and make a little bump

measure a clump of pheasant (shank length); tie in/trim butts

tie in a hank of CH and post it

    tie in hackles

build up abdomen (back 1/4 of shank)

dub thread, dub thorax (middle 1/2 of shank)

    Part 2

wind hackle down post (did them both at the same time; sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't); tie off at base of post

trim hackle/trim wing; build up head (front 1/4 of shank), half hitch x 2, SHHAN

    Regards,
    Scott

Never have fished one. Saw a pic on another site and it caught my eye; which is how I plan to fish it, as an attractor. I've had good luck using orange flies for cutts and there's a few little blue lines I'm going to test this on next year.
