    With the whole skin with the crinkly hair I'd use for wings, and being tanned you could try cutting some into Zonker strips. Got some scrap wool pieces at a craft show last year and wish some of them had the really long hairs but some of the cream pieces would make great fly patchs.

    Royce is a fantastic tier who showed me how to use lambs wool, which was the initial question in this thread. He has also authored an exceptional book on fly tying methods.

    Please dye those patches blaze orange or fluorescent pink, even if you don't wear them in the deer season. There are a lot of people who hunt deer out of season and will shoot at a patch of white fur.
