    Default Matte Green

I love this blank. A guy down in the keys sells them on the auction site. Probably imported, but it doesn't matter. It's a more suitable replacement for the yellow featherlite that I keep in the trunk. It casts nicely. And a 4pc. is more practical when storing in the trunk.

Full wells, of course. I prefer them for pitching wooly buggers.

Saturday, I had the opportunity to fish it for the first time...

Later that night, I tied up some flies during THE Ohio State game. The plan was to fish the next day with my dad. I've hooked 95% of my fish this year on this pattern. Why tie anything else?

So we WON!!! the game. Sunday brought revelry and "did you see that" conversation. But it also brought cooler weather and rain.

My father hooked a bass, and I settled for a couple of these guys...

It just hit 60?. Finally. And the Buckeyes have a legitimate shot at the B1G title!

It's a good day spent with a good friend, and a good rod.
