    Question Zonked foul up?

I'm not much of a fly tier but I enjoy reading and tying a little bit along. I read something the other day that puzzled me. I read about a zonked streamer fouling up. I never give it much thought. I normally just nymph and seldom use a streamer so I was just wondering if any of you guys have that problem and is there anything the tier can do to stop that from happening?

    Thanks in advance,
    hNt

I used to have that problem with marabou muddlers. Just use a shorter shank hook so that the tailing material goes out beyond it.

A loop of heavy mono behind the hook under the Zonker strip helps a lot.
