Default Good Books on the Techniques and Tactics of Fishing Emergers?

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Seems like few books were published on this subject.

    Thanks,

    Randy,

I am not aware of any recent books that cover the subject on the "Techniques and Tactics" of fishing cripples/emergers. This is probably one of the better resources that covers some aspects of the topic:

ost of what I have gleaned has come from articles and chapters from people like Dave Hughes, Jim Schollmeyer and Ted Leeson, Gary Borger, Dave Whitlock, Syl Nemes,Rene Harrop, Gary LaFontaine, Al Caucci, Bob Nastasi, Craig Matthews and others. If you run across THAT definitive work or if someone else knows of it - please share...

Agree with PT. There really is no single definitive work on the topic. The problem is that fishing emergers is either the same as fishing dries, or it is fishing wet fly methods, it is not really its own method in my mind. More defined by the patterns than the technique, in other words.

For patterns, the best in my mind is Leeson and Schollmeyer's Tying Emergers.

    Randy,
You might also like the book EMERGERS by Doug Swisher and Carl Richards. It was published in 1991 but it has a lot of valid info that should help you. You can find used copies on Amazon for a very reasonable price
