That is really sad. When I was a kid the great outdoors was my playground. It was a time to bond with my father and grandfather. Fast forward 50 years and most kids and their parents I have found have become disconnected. Instead of enjoying the great outdoors and bonding it's all about the high tech gadgets. My son would rather sit at camp playing on an iPod or iPad than hike, climb or fish. Luckily my daughter is the opposite. She can fish sun up to sundown and beg to do it all over again the next day. Without appreciation for the outdoors these tech gadget kids will care less about the natural world. It's a trend I hope we can reverse.
