I have found a few references to this caddis pattern, but not much.
One reference says to tie in a clump of deer hair 3 X shank length bu butts at eye; wrap to bend; wrap forward in spiral segmentation; then bullet head the tips rearward.
Would like to see the resulting fly......best would be a video.

P.S. LaFontaine describes it differently....as sort of just a "fold-back" deer hair pattern......
Not really clearly described. His sounds like you just tie the butts at hook bend, wrap forward, and perhaps tie down the tips facing rearward....
