    Default Kind of a newbie question on Tenkara.

    Except for the use of modern materials; isnt Tenkara fishing in this country a rebirth of 18th century fly fishing?

    Long bamboo rod, long fine line of silk with horse tail leader attached at the rod tip, no reel, flies of local design.

    Pretty cool to me.
