    Wish I could say "first cast" - but it wasn't. It was the first strike - first fish. 13".

    Wind was blowing bad so didn't fish long. Caught three like this and a 9" female bluegill.

    Way to go. Nothing like getting the skunk curse off of a new rod. Congrats.

    Hope it casts as good as it looks, cause it looks good!

    Gene, is that a Gill Buster stuck in the cork? I've caught crappies on them but never with black. Nice looking fish! Caught just about every other warmwater species on black, though. JGW
