This is my first fly tying vice which I purchased from Paul Young in Detroit in 1964. It was made by R.S. Chase Company in Boston, MA and was a model 17. I tied flies on this vice for many years.
While not nearly as old, these are the very first tools I purchased upon graduation of my tying class in 1990. Classes were taken at the Fly Fisher in Lacey Washington, under the instruction of the owner George. Wonderful guy who I credit with getting me started. These tools are still the nucleus of my day-to-day tying. Quality lasts.
