    If my math is right, this thing is almost 10 inches. Think the hook MFGRS will need to come up with a new hook.
    Oh no...something else I'll need to buy. LOL

    Yeah, better be a calm day! It would be like trying to cast a small kite. Any sort of a breeze and you'd be in to your backing before it hit water.

    21cm = ~8.3 inches
    25.4 cm = 10 inches

    Still, it is a very impressive insect.
    Although the fact that the article is appearing on a site called "disinfo.com" makes me wonder if my leg isn't being pulled. I'll wait until it's posted on some rock solid, ironclad website such as Wikipedia (he posted, tongue firmly in cheek).

    I'm with you Ed, I suspect some realistic tier tied them up cut the bend and eye off and scattered them about to see what would happen.

    Thanks for the links. I am more inclined to believe it.
    If one buzzes me on my patio I think I'll quit all forms of artificial sweeteners and contemplate moving to a monastery.
