    Default Gloabl Dorber Rod Review

Anybody care to share a rod review on Global Dorber rods? I've purchased fly line from them and it works fine for me.

    Kinda, but not really...

I built a 5' 4wt. on the same blank used for the Bushnell L'il Streamer rod. I love it.

If you bought the aquanova line, I hope you have better luck with it than I did. Mine started cracking after less than a season.

Thanks. I was hoping to hear from others that have built on their longer rods. I'm looking to build a 9', 6 wt. Oops! I did buy the Aquanova, but I haven't use it just yet.

If you re asking about the Dorber Ultrawave rod, see the review for this rod in Fly Fisherman Magazine (Feb/Mar 2011) page 20.

Just about all of your blanks will be on the medium side of speed/recovery. The blank will flex deeply into the butt section when loaded. The speed reminds me of glass. The only blank that I used that was fast was the little 2wt. Turns out the blank is the same as the spinning blank. I'm not sure about the 8ft/8wt and I'm told the blank is on the faster side.
