    I find it very interesting how the tying technique of reverse hackling a fly is such an old technique and yet is often considered something "new".

    What I also found very interesting is that Sawyer's Pheasant Tail Nymph is said to have come from his Red Pheasant Tail Spinner dry fly which continued to catch fish even when submerged, thus leading him to his famous PT Nymph.
