    Default Elastic top/waist

My Eureka! moment came today, but don't think it will do me any good. As I was putting on my waist high waders, I thought " that's why these are so much more comfortable than my chest waders - elastic waist!". Seems like I have seen a wader with an elastic waist, that had a "sleeve" that you could pull up if you wanted to wade deeper. What a great idea that would be - but probably no such thing? The Simms Convertibles look like what I'm thinking, but don't look like they have elastic waist.

I see a lot of mailings for senior citizen products in your future. They will arrive very shortly, even if you do not yet qualify from a barrage of AARP mailings.

Thanks, Brad, that's when I fell in love with elastic - in my 60's.

I have Orvis Silver and tho they don't have an elastic waist they can be used as waist waders or chest waders at your choosing.

You got it, elastic rules! But you don't need a wader with built in elastic. Just replace the standard wader belt with an elastic belt. It's the belt that is tight. I've used the same elastic belt on several waders.

But that doesn't make them easier to pull up over your butt.

DECREASE your butt girth and the waders will fit weller and you'll live longer.

That's an option I've been working on, but not very successfully.
