I just don't use Rio Mono (Nylon) or Fluorocarbon...period. I have used these three tippet materials for years without problems:



...because Puglisi "Powerful" is no longer available, I have switched over to using this as well as Stroft GTM for Mono:

All of my tippet materials are kept inside my vest and not dangling off the outside, on a post or lanyard. I used Rio once, on the Madison, about 13 years ago...FAIL...
