    Default John Montana's Hybrid

Tail might be a little short on this one... big shout out to John Montana for making me drool about using this one on some carp. I hope to find some while up in MN, but might be busting it out against some panfish at the very least.

Has anyone else had a chance to tie/use this pattern against vacuums?

I have not tried it, but it looks like it has potential. I can see a red ultra-chenille tail, bead chain eyes and a black soft hackle. Is the body crystal-chenille, large regular chenille, or some hair in a dubbing loop?

    Thanks,
    Ted

I've tied some, but have not put them in front of any fish yet.

Ted, this video will explain it better. I tied it with Ace Hardware bead chain, blood red velvet ultra chenille tail, black crystal woolly bugger chenille from BPS and olive rooster saddle hackle.

Thanks for the pattern. I will tie up a few and try them out.

That's a very neat fly. Anyone use it for grass carp? We have some huge specimens in the local lakes and I've never been able to interest one in a fly.

    Regards,
    Scott
