July 4th
I couldn't make it out until 2. It was hot.
There were 2 bluegill.
Down the road, I cast to some gar. I lose close to a dozen fish. I cross over to the other bank to free a snagged fly. I notice tilapia are sitting by the overflow. I cast. I hook a rock in front of the fish which swims to the middle of the canal. It's the biggest I've hooked in this particular canal! 16"!
Off to watch the Punta Gorda fireworks display. Hooray, beer! Hooray brother in law with a boat!
Not a bad day.
