I just received this reel from Spain. I have fished only for a few hours with it. Strangely, semi automatic fly reels were never made for the disabled. they were and continue to be made for the high end fly fishing market. I think they are ideal for fly fishing whether you are disabled or not. Many fly fisher have won world championships using semi automatic fly reels. They are more efficient especially when fishing for big powerful fish. I have written articles about semi automatic fly reels because I have all of the major brands of S A fly reels; from Vivarelli to the new JMC Ozone 36 from France. They cost about $500.00 but the best buy in my opinion is the ATP 37 graphite made in Italy coming with a cost of about $200.00. It has a drag, removable spool, 100 meters of backing w/ Wtf 7 fly line. I've landed big carp, northern pike and 30" stripe bass with these reels.
