    Bob,
If he does the cooking, then, according to his wife, they are from Modesto, CA. And have owned it about 6 years.

I had ham and eggs. Left a lot of it on my plate.

Had breakfast with Bob Jacklin and his wife at Campfire Lodge Cafe _ on the outside deck.

    O
ne of their freshly baked cinnamon rolls to go (with instructions)....and partially eaten.

Campfire Lodge was owned and operated by Chuck and Nancy Sperry for many years prior to the present owners. The land belongs to the US Forest Service and it is leased. I knew Chuck and Nancy very well, and my late wife and I always stopped and visited with them when we camped at Beavercreek Campground. When the Sperry's owned the Lodge they also managed the two Forest Service campgrounds - Cabin Creek and Beavercreek - where my late wife and I spent many memorable days camping, hiking and canoeing. My late wife and I camped for the last time at Beavercreek in the fall of 2006 and the Sperrys had the place up for sale at that time. I did not get back to the Lodge in 2007 since my wife was dying of cancer and when I did return for a visit in 2008 the Sperrys were gone and the new owners were in place.

    Thanks Neal,
That conforms to what I have been saying.
    Great location on Ghost Road........
The fishing just above the Resort is great and so is it down Ghost Road to just above Quake. Caught some nice browns there.

Byron, you are making me hungry!

One more thought, I believe Jim Slattery was a FOAL member here several years ago, and you can find his old posts by doing a search of his name. I don't believe he is presently a member here though, but I don't know why.

A slim, but nice Rainbow caught just upstream of Campfire Lodge.

An evening photo of the zhenry's Fork just above the Ranch in Last Chance.
If you enlarge a little, you will see the nightly swarming of Caddis.

John, Jim Slattery was one of many who used to be very active members on this site. They used to participated in the 'forums discussion', 'chat rooms', 'swaps', attend 'fish ins', 'personal sales', etc. A lot has happened here on the site since it was started back when. That includes the deaths of of members who've meant a lot to the site. Anyway, what caused people like him and similar members to slow down or cease their participation on this site entirely may have been caused by a multitude of personal reasons.
