I agree with WarrenP; excellent post! As a former Marine, I can easily relate to the statement your son made to you about being a Marine, it's what he's supposed to do. He's doing what he feels called to do and what he wants to do. It's not only the military personnel that make huge sacrifices to defend our country, it' their family members as well. While I haven't seen the movie Lone Survivor yet, I did read the book and it was heart wrenching to imagine everything that man went through during his ordeal. These men are American heroes, and every one of them deserve our thanks and respect for the service they willingly give to our country; and so do their family members for the sacrifices they make sending their loved ones into harms way .
