Probably not exactly the right place to post this thread, but it certainly isn't far off. A friend of mine has asked me to restore an old Heddon for him, along with several other fine old fly rods, and this one is most unusual. I have seen a lot of Heddon rods, but never one with these wraps. His father bought him this rod in the early 1950's in Michigan where he grew up fishing the Au Sable. What makes this rod so unique, is the wraps on it. Of couse, being a 7 1/2, 3/2 doesn't hurt it at all (drool). I am hopeful that some of you real bamboo collectors and experts can help help with this one....its pretty nice except for some wraps that he has replaced over the years and by his own admission, they are pretty bad to say the best. Anyway...
