Found this on a NZ site; don't know much about Kiwi bugs but it looked cool.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #10
thread - MFC 8/0 olive/UTC 140 tan
tail - golden pheasant tippets
rib - x-fine wire gold
body - dubbing olive
body hackle - brown (undersize by 2)
wing - deer hair
head - deer hair (spun/clipped)


Part 1

mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, tie in rib and wrap to point above barb




measure some pheasant tippets (2/3 shank); tie in






dub thread; dub tapered body






tie in hackle; wrap back to tail






trap hackle tip with rib, then wrap rib forward thru hackle; tie off and trim thread
