Default Tenkara Bum Shimostuke starter kits?

I've been thinking about getting a Tenkara rod to use for my trips to the spring creeks in the NE part of the state and to harass the bluegills on the local ponds. So, I was wondering if anyone has purchased one of these and what your thoughts are?

I got one of his starter rods. I have had a ball using it.
Great fun to catch gills on. Take a net with you. Can't swing fish up as you do with a regular fly rod.

I have one of these rods although I bought it separate from the starter kit. It is a nice rod for being a starter rod. It is a little on the stiffer side than my liking for bluegills but I tend to use it more and more. When you say spring creeks, are you talking about smaller brookies and brown trout? I am not really a trout fisherman. If I had a shorter Pro Square than my 4510, I would use that more. The Pro Square 320 or 360 would make very nice rods for spring creeks if you are targeting smaller fish. It will also handle larger fish but you wont be able to horse them in like you could with the Shimotsuke 3.3 or3.6. If you want a stiffer rod, go with the Shotsuke. If you want a softer rod go with a Nissin.
