I'm back in town. I don't know what I'm tying yet but it will either be yellow or purple, since those are the colors of the balls that I have on hand.

June flies arrived today from Bill Houk. Some real gill getters.

I've had a couple of these Puff Balls for a long time and this was the first reason to try and use the 'tentacles'. This stuff is a bear to wrap. Squirmy, slippery, and plain ichy. Do any of you have a tip about how best to keep it in place?

Might try super glue. When tying a rubber band grub, I put a drop on the thread base before tying in the rubber band.
Then I put a drop on top of the tied in thread before wrapping the rubber band. Also wait a couple of minutes before wrapping the
rubber band.
Helps tying a "Brassie," too.

June has only (2) weeks remaining. I have (3) tiers without a pattern and received only (2) sets of flies. The original swap deadline is the 25TH. It doesn't look likely this month, either.

Mine will be there too sorry been stressed with work and new baby on the way but Ill tie up something not sure what Ill call it though. Maybe the slimer heck I dont know
