All the parts were already on the bench from the Borchers 'chute; add some calf tail and there you go.

tail - moose body
body - turkey tail
rib - tying thread
wing - Calf tail
hackle - brown/grizzly mix

mash barb, start thread at 75% mark




clean, stack, measure (hook shank) a clump of calf tail




tie in; firm wraps, keeping the calf tail on top of the shank




trim butts at an angle (hopefully better than shown here)




smooth butts with thread wraps, crease up front with thumbnail and create a thread dam to prop wing u
