    Default More NY Steelies

With water still running off and temp in the 40's the Steelies are still running and holding in Western NY streams if you know where. Great day yesterday with six fish landed and one hen that went over 10# and was airborne no less that six times! Love when the initial hookset results in a powerleap! Wish there was a way to capture those in a photo!

The bottom one is referred to as a "dropback". It's been in the river for a while.

The color is due to being a male. Dropback refers to postspawn fish.
