Thread: Finally spent some time at the bench this winter

Default Finally spent some time at the bench this winter

After a long hiatus from tying (almost two years) I was finally motivated to get back on the bench. At the beginning of the winter I gave away most of my flies and decided to start fresh. Below are the first two completed fly boxes. One has nymphs and small wets, the other has streamers and bigger nymphs.

The patterns were chosen to target the species I fish for the most (trout, smallmouth bass, and panfish). There are two other fly boxes still in the works, one of dry flies and one with deer hair bugs/foam poppers/crawfish patterns. I wont need those until later in the spring (late May) so I'm still working on them. I left a little room in each for any "must-have" patterns I need to add.

Wow! That's great. I have 0 organizational skills. I just have big piles of flies.
Good job. Thanks for the encouragement!

    Alberto,

It doesn't appear that time away from the vise has affected your tying skills; those are beautiful. Please keep the pics coming.

    Regards,
    Scott
